Hi all

Well, another two weeks have rushed by, it always seems to do so at the end of the year. In a nutshell, I’ve had a torrid two weeks in hospital. I wont bore you with the details, but my heart has taken strain with all the dialysis as I was apparently ‘overloaded’ (carrying too much fluid). I have discovered that medicine is not an exact science and I managed to surprise seasoned specialists with my condition recently. The good news, is with excellent health professionals, my doctor Roger, nurses, cardiologist, and  anesthetist delivered 120% and I am stabilizing now.

During my incarceration in hospital, I must confess, I lay there wondering what life is all about… the world is in an appalling state, and a large percent of the world’s population live like animals in the veld, from one day to the next. I came to the conclusion, that if everyone, whatever their circumstances, made the effort to do something, however small, to improve their fellow man’s life, they are right up at the top of the pack, the 20% leading the 80.

To all my friends, family, and followers of this blog, some complete strangers, thank-you for your care and support, it really helps me to keep a positive mental attitude. Next years mission: to get a kidney transplant!!! have a good week. xxx love Di and kids.
